THE LYNN ELLIOTT COMPANY HISTORY

The Lynn Elliott Company was founded in Houston, TX by Lynn T. Elliott in 1940. Leon Ince joined the firm soon after and helped to finance the company’s operations. The company was primarily a Manufacturers Representative that sold electrical and mechanical equipment to the pipeline industry. The principal line was Philadelphia Gear-Limitorque Division, which manufactured electric and gas motor valve operators for pipelines. 

In 1949, The Lynn Elliott Company separated their representative agreement with Philadelphia Gear – Limitorque and formed the EIM 

Company to manufacture their own line of electric and gas motor valve operators. At the same time, The Lynn Elliott Co also opened a satellite sales office in Kansas City, KS to handle the pipeline contractors and gas transmission companies located in the Midwest. 

In 1968, Mr. Lynn T. Elliott sold The Lynn Elliott Company to Lynn Elliott Jr., Buddy Payne, and Al Boggs. During the 1970s and 1980s, The Lynn Elliott Company continued to grow to include 5 major offices (Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Tulsa, and Kansas City) with 30 outside salesmen and over $50 million in sales annually. 

In 1986, The Lynn Elliott Company restructured and sold off all of the satellite offices to key personnel in those offices. Currently, The Lynn Elliott Company, located in Houston, Tx is a manufacturers representative for Power T&D products and power electronics covering the commercial and industrial customers in the Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma workplace.
